Alu-Cab Defender Icarus Tavan Dönüştürücü Beyaz AC-RC-LRDF-W

The roof conversion Icarus made by Alu-Cab transform your Land Rover Defender into a camper in a very easy way. If the roof is opened, you have a maximum height of 2800 mm standing inside of the vehicle. The sleeping area with a maximum length of 2550 mm can easily be unfolded and reached from inside and outside the car afterwards. The mattress which has a thickness of 75 mm and contains two layers provides good sleeping comfort. You can enter the tent from the outside through three big openings which are equipped with a mosquito net. The entrance on the back is equipped with an additional roof made of tent fabric, which provides shelter from sun and rain. Multiple LED-lights illuminate the inside at night. 

The new roof conversion was developed in cooperation with Genesis Import and is made of aluminium with a thickness of 2 mm. The shape of the new roof is inspired by the shape of the original roof. Integrated struts provide additional stability and the C-rails on the roof enable you to easily equip the outside with accessories. The inside of the roof is insulated with insulation foam. The Icarus is equipped with two layered 400g/mm Riplock tent fabric, which is also used for the Alu-Cab roof tents. The fabric is water- and windproof and not see through and it has a membrane made of Polyurethan and is stretchy. Thanks to the gas pressure springs, the roof conversion can be opened very easily and an elastic band facilitates the closing procedure. 

The installation is also easy. The original roof can simply be screwed off and exchanged with the new one. This transforming process makes it very easy to change the roof back to normal if you wish so. 

The Icarus roof conversion is only 180 mm higher than the original roof and has a weight of ca. 130 kg. That means an additional weight of only 70 kg, which is less than most roof tents weigh.  

The roof conversion is available in black and Defender white. An installation of the 270° awning can only be installed on the left side of the Defender (brackets available: AC-A-AWN-BKT-RC-DE-L). 

Thanks to the rain gutter, you can install roof racks on the roof conversion.
